Attached is the Report, authored by Chief Magistrate Judge Michael E. Hegarty, titled "2023: The Year in Review U.S. District Court District of Colorado" (August 15, 2024). The Report is a statistical compilation of the civil & criminal caseload at the District Court.  From the standpoint of the civil practice, it notes that there were 3468 civil cases filed, and identifies the cases by category, notably 23% were prisoner petitions, 20% were Civil rights claims, 18% were contract cases, and breaks the rest down to precise categories across Real Property disputes, Employment, IP, Trots and Social Security cases.  

There were 33 civil jury trials in the district and these are broken down by case category,  each verdict is described, the length of time to reach trial, and the judicial officer presiding. 

The Report is informative to practitioners . It identifies each judicial officer's docket, the time to trial, the average pending time for each case and other information useful in the practice.
